China August 9th - August 22nd 2008 Outline of things to write about!

We left Greenville on August 9th and drove to Memphis.
-Ate at Paula Dean's in Robinsonville, couldn't eat much.
-Stayed in Drury Inn and Suites
-Went shopping at Wolfchase and bought Ariel an outfit
-Had a slight meltdown at TGIF's while watching the airplanes turn and land. Cried a bit, mama cried and John-Cole got teary eyed.
-Was scared to pieces

Flew out the morning of August 10th
-Cried, was scared
-Sat next to a big guy who loved the Blues on the flight from Memphis to San Fran.
-Hit wind sheer landing in San Fran. Scary!
-Ate a sandwich in San Fran. couldn't eat much.
-LONG LONG trip over the Pacific
-Couldn't go the shortest route because of Volcanos erupting in the Alutian???? islands.
-Boring and exhausting. Movies to watch but couldn't concentrate and couldn't sleep.
-Landed in Tokyo at night and met up with Diana, Janet, Sue-Z and Maryann.
-Bad turbulance on flight from Tokyo to Guangzhou
-Got sick and slept the entire way.
-Landed in Guangzhou and went to the Hotel at the airport
-NICE NICE hotel

IN CHINA!

-Flew 1 hour to Nanning and met Cindy
-Did paperwork
-Got our babies at 4:00
-Ariel didn't cry
-Tell about all the babies
-First night
-Call from Sheyan
-Going to the museum
-Seeing the drums
-Going to the City Park
-Going to Green Mountain Park
-Going to Guigang City
-Finding Ariel's finding spot
-The mall and Wal-Mart next to the hotel
-The food!
-Bookstore
-Man in the hotel holding Ariel
-Swimming
-The way the streets and buildings were
-Meetings with the officials
-Playing in the Halls

Going to Guangzhou

-White Swan
-People swimming in the river
-Shopping
-Visa Physical
-"Crack Head on the Street"
-Pearl Market

-Ariel yelling at the baby on the bus
-The official adoption and swearing in (First time I cried.)
-Mississippi on the pole (HA HA!)
